I got this bundle for my now 8yo old son. It was the perfect curriculum to use for his 2nd grade year. He’s learned a lot! And it’s just like Erin named her company: Seq 1 was Gentle as it isn’t “rigorous”, it didn’t take hours to complete, and we can sit and cuddle while learning. And it’s Classical with the memory work. It was such a great fit! There’s also enough “breathing room” to add other things in if you want. Like you can add Christmas resources, or do literature studies, you can add her Morning Virtues, or anything else and you won’t feel overwhelmed. I’ve been homeschooling for 12 years now and this is the only curriculum I’ve actually fell in love with.

This curriculum was exactly what I have been looking for! It was easy to understand and follow. I love that you can add as much or as little as you would like - I did learn along the way that some of the pacing differed for my child than what was suggested, but it was easy to adjust that as we went. The curriculum is beautifully illustrated amazing quality. The art and music components were so fun as well. Overall, I would recommend with the understanding that you can go at YOUR own pace and choose what YOU want to do/what works for you and your child. I will plan to use this again with my younger children.

We just received the Morning Virtues Bundle and are looking forward to incorporating it into our schoolyear. The lay out is easy to follow and engaging.

Well, my curiosity got the better of me and I purchased the new edition of Primer after working with the first edition, alternating our time between primer and nature 1. It is a wonderful update, so I plan to combine the two editions. If you are a perfectionist, do not attempt!! I’ve put everything in order for terms 2 & 3, and it’s working for me because I am not aligning them perfectly and because I’m repeating a some things. For example, I’m using the right memory verse for the 2nd edition, but 1st edition Bible story/The Ology pages. For me, the companion reader, clickable links, and the activity guide make it worth the hassle. The planning grids are very good—I love the 4 day week, and I love that nature (creation science) is included in the planning grid.
If you are new to G+C, lucky you—the new primer edition is a great place to start!

These are great for morning time! I love the biography about the composer and artist! Perfect amount of information and easy to incorporate. I also love how they include folk songs, my kids have loved singing the folk songs.

My kid and I loved this so much. I really like how gentle and easy to follow, my kid loved learning so much about all the animals, flowers and trees. It's so incredible how the course teaches how important nature is.

I love this curriculum! Our family just finished up the Primer program and we are so excited to dive into this for next year. I will have a first grader and a second grader and I love that I can use this for both of my kids at the same time. I am a big fan of the statement cards!! As a Mama with ADHD they help keep me organized and on task plus they are beautiful. We have loved everything we have ever done from gentle and classical press!

My kids are curious how and where the food come from and we incorporate this creation study with Primer after school for our home learning. This has cut off a lot of screen time for them.

This is my second round homeschooling using Charlotte Mason methods. I think my favorite way of teaching is with living books. The way that this curriculum/guide is organized, the selection of stories, crafts, music and art, it’s amazing! It just makes sense, and it all connects together for a well rounded education.
The included grids are definitely a bonus for me; I homeschool more than one kiddo, the grids help my mama brain stay on track with my little one.

The morning binder was a great addition to my preschoolers routine. Love the variety of pages included.

I love these morning time plans. My kids not so much. They get restless and bored when I am going over the artist and composer biographies. So I break them down into really small chunks. Like 2 or 3 sentences at a time and spread them out. They are 8 and 5 so I'm hoping that as they get older it will be easier for them to be more attentive to what I am reading.
